I'm tired of......

I'm tired of the PC crap on here. I am tired of being expected to tiptoe and walk on eggshells, because someone might get offended. I'm tired of people asking for opinions and advice, but then get mad when someone disagrees with them or questions their agenda. I'm tired of people threatining others, because they do express their opinion. I'm tired of people seeing flowers and butterflies everywhere and getting offended when somebody doesn't. I'm tired of the little cliques that seem to think mylot is their own personal little hangout and dare anybody to "disturb" their inner boohoo circle with blatant truths. I'm tired of people calling other people stalkers just because they disgaree in more than one thread from the same person. Everybody has the right to post their problems, issues, questions or whatever on here, but if you do so don't be surprised or offended when not everybody agrees or believes you. I'm tired of people crying that people are rude when they themselves make rude remarks to people disagreeing with them. This is a discussion board people!! People will not always agree with you and will question you. Such is life.

Many Blessings, I understand where you are coming from; but not what set it off. It seems that there must have been an underlying issue/post/discussion that was the cause of this and I hope that you get it worked out. People are always going to be people and they are always going to gravitate towards like or like minded. Sometimes it is hard for me to digest opinions of others that are on an entire different level than mine; but then I try (not always successfully), but I do try to be open-minded and not to judge, remembering 'An it harm none - Blessed Be ~Donna

That is a real problem for a lot of people. I agree with you kitchenwitch, you can't please everyone all the time. But you have to learn to respect the opinions of others no matter how different.

You are very open minded and I wish more people were like you on here kitchenwitch. It's a long story, but it basically boils down to that I was being called rude simply by disagreeing with someone and then the whole pack of wolves came running, sort to speak. do as ye will-'an harm it none. I live by that motto too, but some people unfortunately take everything out of context. Blessed Be :)

Not quite sure what has set the gasket going but this is a public forum and I think that you should not "walk on egg shells". If people don't want to hear the "real" opinion of ohters than better they not post anything. But --- I would'nt get too upset by it --- Mylot may be about getting people to use their websit and the people using it may be about a decent conversation or they may be simple wanting to "make money" in which case, if it is too make money, I think really they are going to be very dissappointed and if it is for real conversation the ones who are genuine are not goint to get over wraught by honesty. Nothing is really worth getting too worked up about -- especially "MyLot. Life has plenty of other things to offer.

Very nice, this is the internet..you dont have to be PC here..You can fully speak your mind. I can understand being PC at work, home, school, with family and friends..but this is really where you can break all the rules and really really speak your mind..dont ruin that folks, dont take that away..If someone disagrees with you, dont just shrug it off.read what they have to say..Open your mind!

Yes you are absolutely right and This is what is happening nowadays in mylot their are few people who does like this even i have faced such kind of bugging answers when i disagree with the people and once i see the response from the person who behaves rude at me i feel not to answer any more to such kind of discussion and it is the human nature and the rudeness will not give any thing to them rather than bad impression and bad impact on their personality so i think the people while responding have to be careful cause it might lead them to something where they cant come out their are few examples of those i Cant give examples It might have occured in your life too.

You should be able to speak your mind and not be attacked. I don't get it either. That is part of the problem today, no one values other peoples opinion. You can learn from opening your mind, and thinking outside the box. Different perspectives makes you think.

take it easy, in forum, people often argue with each other, and its easy to go personal, just ignore them. Have a good day.

I honestly think it's the stars that some of the members have... I think when people see that, they are more likely to rate us LOWER if they disagree. My rating has gone down in about 2 weeks! I think they need to do away with it... It's intimidating...

Yes! If you don't want the answer don't ask the question. Far too much of "If I want your opinion I'll tell you what it is."

We reach to such circumstances when we cross our limits and become too informal. We have to remember, internet world is a formal world. People here may be friends , but not relatives or we don't have any blood relationship with each other. So the more formal we remian, the more healthy will be the atmosphere. The more personal you try to become, the more you will have to bear such painful comments which disturb you mental peace. Try to write to the point and finish the subject. Try that , I think it will help you and it may create a good impression too.

Thank you for saying what so many people are/were thinking. If you don't want a differing opinion from your own then don't post discussions that will have wide range of differing opinions. I joined mylot to be able to voice my opinion, my opinion isn't necessarily right it is just my opinion, I have even started my comments out "with this is my opinion" and ended them with "this is my 2 cents" have even used words like "I don't mean for this to sound harsh" all in an effert to be polite and non offensive. I have even thought better of posting to some because I fear negative ratings, not because I fear negative feed back in words, those I can handle. Even defend sometimes when warranted. If we all thought alike then we would be a world of robots, with no individuality we are all different. Sorry for my long rant, but had slight run in yesterday with a post, because my opinion was different than the person starting the discussion. Thank you for letting me vent for a few. Good luck to you here at mylot!

Holy effing hell...1 2 mothereffing 3! (That means i agree with you 100% and more) If i didn't feel like i had to tiptoe around everyone and curb who i am, you think i would say effing? Nope, i would say the bick f bomb. People need to suck it up, grow up, get a life...however you want to say it. Nobody should have to tiptoe around on here. Nobody should have to curb what they really want to say. However, if they don't curb it, people give them crap ratings. BS! The rating thing is rediculous, anyhow. Hell, i don't even knwo what my rating is or if i even have one. i don't see one above my avatar...but i really don't care. People don't have to like me and they don't have to read what i post...but they do have to accept and respect the fact that i have the right to say it.

I hear what your saying, and I wish I could say I believe you, but I just got here and haven't seen anything to get me upset yet. I try to get along with people, and if that isnt good enough, well then they dont have to be my friend.

I guess I can see both sides. It's annoying yes, when people ask for opinions then get upset when you give them one they don't want. But if people have the right to state their opinions without being PC, the people also have the right to get upset if you're not PC. Doesn't mean they're right. But to stop it would be to censor them. Nobody here has the right to censor anybody else anyway, so what difference does it make if they get upset at your opinion? I don't think myLot would ban anyone for either case.

Applause! I am in full agreement. I come from one of the meanest forums on the net (www.godlikeproductions.com) and compared to there, this place is a tea party. It's like people can't deal with differing opinions. And some are afraid to voice their true opinions for fear they might lose some of their earnings or get banned. If that ever happens to me for speaking my mind (as long as I'm not attacking anyone), then so be it. Boohoo. I am willing to pay that price in order to practice my freedom of speech on a public forum. I gave your post a positive rating, BTW.

Yup I know what you mean. We have a forum where you can speak your mind and when I come from there to hear I sometimes feel like I crossed over to the summerlands or something lol.
