why is there no 'b:\' drive in the hard disc??

lets see who gives the right answer first..a,c,d,e,f...!! where is b drive????ever wondered why???tel me and get the best response for this dicussion

the hard drive is usually partitioned into c, d, e and so on. a drive is for floppy drive and so is b drive. in the computers used earlier, there were two floppy drives, a and b. with the advent of cd drive, the floppy drive has been reduced to only one drive which is 'a' drive. and so the non existent floppy drive, 'b' drive is missing now.

You can connect two floppy drives to a single system.ONe is A: drive and the other is B: drive.Since one is enough so we dont use the B: drive.
