The Five Doctors was made into a Special Edition in 1996, 13 years after it's original broadcast. It features about 10 minutes extra material, updated special effects, and surround sound.
The question is, which version is better, the special edition or the original?

Please correct me if I am wrong, is this the one with the master, and the brilliant fantastic probably the best ever scene where the Cybermen are obliterated by a robot, Raston Robot, who decapitated most of them, and when the master trapped the rest of the cybermen of a giant chess board? One of the doctors was trapped in the triangle, I think it was Tom Baker. I didn't realized they re-released it. If it is the same story I'm thinking about? Shame there was only one dalek in it too!

Yes that's the one!
If you buy the DVD of it, you get the Special Edition as described above. 1 Dalek was a bit disappointing, although I can imagine it being much more disappointing at the time it was originally transmitted. Now we have DVD and infinte repeats to get a Dalek fix!
