Respect

An important topic in human relations that some dont seem to grasp. It is in everybodys best interest that we develop a mutual respect for one another. I sugest we make this a more important priority in education. No matter how much math and science one grasps, it seems useless to apply such things if you can not relate or function in society. In adition maybe public service sighns, adds and billboards with catchy adds like, " Respect, not getting it? Did you give it." This might be a step in the right direction in solving many problems. Who is with me? Anybody opposed to the idea?

Sadly, there will probably never be enough respect in the world. People are too selfish and too concerned with themselves and their own opinions to care about someone else's.

Yes hitzphillygirl, but we can change that! With effort in time, the first step is to teach those who have not been taught.

Respect, like most things in this world has to start in the home. If you teach your children respect, not just for others but for themselves as well, they will practice it and carry in on to their children. It isn't a subject you can learn like math or science, it has to be practiced around you, by you. That said, I also believe anything is worth trying, it certainly wouldn't hurt, even if only to remind people. With all of the useless billboards out there, why not put a decent message up?
