Who do you think has the closest SRV sound and style? John Mayer? Kenny Wayne Shepperd? Chris Duarte? or is there anyone out there that i should check out and listen to. My Personal Choice would be John Mayer because of his style, phrasing, and maturity. He inovates and creates new styles but he still keeps that SRV feel and i've always imagined Srv doing John's style of blues guitar if he is still alive today.

I think that KWS is the closest to SRV. I also think he is of the same personality and is a great person like SRV was. It seems like Mayer has quite the attitude and he just isn't in the same league as SRV.
KWS was also largely inspired by Hendrix, in the same manner SRV was.
Also they both have initials SRV & KWS
haha! :D

I really like Kenny myself. If I was thinking of people to compare to SRV (which is hard to do anyway) John Mayer would never cross my mind.

I think that Kenny would probably be the closest. You may not listen to country but ever heard Brad Paisley? He's an awesome guitarist and sometimes when I hear him solo (instrumental) he sounds just like him with some licks!
