Tom Hanks and Gary Sineese

They have been in three movies together: 'Forrest Gump', 'Apollo 13', and 'The Green Mile'. He's been in two movies with John Candy ('Splash' and 'Volunteers'). I don't think its a conspiracy, or planning between the two actors. Casting agents, directors, and producers just want the best talent for their films. I just hope that the next time Tom Hanks and Gary Sinise are in the same film, Gary gets the oscar :D

I have only seen Forrest Gump where Tom Hanks and Gary Sineese have acted together, I don't remember watching any other movie Tom Hanks and Gary Sineese have acted together ....

I have wandered this also, i just always figured they were good friends and enjoyed working together.

Ron Howard was the director of "Splash", and first hired Tom for that movie. Then there was "Forest Gump", wherein Sinese got in due to casting. Then there was "Apollo 13", another Ron Howard directed movie, so Tom obviously suggested Gary for a role, since Hanks was getting really big billing. He was becoming a head honcho, and I think if he buttered up Howard, he could have gotten anything he wanted! By this time of course, Hanks and Sinese were fast friends. They are after all around the same age (only one year apart) and seem to have the same love and respect for acting.
