Hi there. Do you practise or have practised some martial art before? I used to practise karate until 3 years ago when I had to stop due to health problems. When I started I didn't like it much because I were a newbie between all my classmates but as the years start passing I started enjoying it until I had to stop due to some little health problems. I was brown-belt at that time, I wish someday I can graduate to black-belt. Tell me about you.

I engage in submission fighting. I am currently in training for the upcoming Ground and Pound 3 Mixed - Martial Arts competition here in Cebu. I have crossed trained from Russian Military Sambo ( a sort of submission wrestling ), something I have been practicing since high school, to brazilian jiujutsu and boxing. I dont primarily use my feet as it is very important for my balance and base.

I think, aside from meeting my current girlfriend, martial arts is the best thing that ever happened to me. At a time when I was real deppressed and was doing absolutely nothing after I tore my shoulder ligaments and could no longer play baseball, martial arts was there for me. I think you should go for your wish, in kungfu, we have no belts, but I'm sure that when your master ties your first black belt around your waist, it will be one of those moments you never forget. Never give up, keep going and good luck!

Thanks for your words and it's good to know that even though you injuried your shoulder you were still able to switch to martial arts and start it from the beginning.
