Best modern rock group

hey, I wanted to know what modern rock group is the best. I'm talking about bands from 2000 and up, who you think will last and will be remembered for many years to come. Some of my favorite bands are Evanescence (although band member keep changing and probably will keep changing, Amy is one of my fav) Also I like 3 days grace my favorite modern band( I think that they'll last a long time or at least hope so) and Avril Lavigne, though she is not a band, she is quite amazing and will probably last until she is really old.

I think Blue October has some staying power. They debuted in 1998, but I think they still count as a modern day rock band. They've only recently gained popularity, but they've got an original sound and a variety of music that stands out above the rest. I think Stone Sour may stick around as well. They do harken back to the old metal bands of the early nineties - Aerosmith, Metallica, Pearl Jam, etc - but they've taken the genre to a new level and they're one of the few modern bands who's music is smart social commentary.

thanks for your post. Yes Stone sour is very good, I love bands who comment about social problems in their lyrics. You just reminded me of a band to add and cant believe I forgot. System Of A Down, they are quite amazing and also make social comments, which is great specially the song BYOB, which is one of my favorites.
