death penalty

I have mixed feelings about this discussion because on one hand I belive that we follow the rules and thou shall not kill is among them. I cannot understand how one feels that it is legal, just, and not sinful to kill another because of things they have done. The two wrongs don't make a right way of thinking. And then there is the other side of me that feels well if that was one of my loved ones that was violated, killed, etc. well then would I feel the same. Is it really right to take a life because of what that person has done to others and truth being told how will we ever know. Best wishes, good post.
