Did anyone listen to Terri Gross interview Colin Meloy this evening?

I thought it was really interesting. I respect both of them a lot, and their conversation was intelligent and informative without being pretentious. I also didn't know about The Decemberists connection to Colbert, which was amusing.

Yeah, I heard it, I like their music and it was good to hear the origins of some of the songs. Some of their tunes are based on obscure historical subjects, and there's no way I would have known what they were about otherwise.

That's one of the things I like about their music. I feel like I learn things from them, from vocabulary to information about, as you said, historical events I wouldn't have known about otherwise.
