A haven for beach lovers, set on its private island, surrounded by white sand beaches and turquoise waters. Where can you visit it? Of course, only in the Philippines. Aman pulo is accessed thru a chartered flight from Manila. BuT: Are you willing to pay as low as $575 to a whopping $3,000 a night? whew! Well, I was thinking of having our first honeymoon there. When I inquired, omigod! Their honeymooner package costs a whopping $5,595 for the Beach Casitas! a Five night romance in Amampulo can give you ten kids!! hahah! And after that? now what? I mean, i still wanted to go there. as in really, its just have I have to save maybe ten more years?

I feel exactly the same way. I visited their site and the rates there are a knock-out. We also plan to spend our honeymoon here in the Philippines, specifically in Palawan and I stumbled upon their site and boom..I felt flat on the floor. Maybe when we've already saved enough we'll be going there but just not now. :)

Beach - A peaceful beautiful beach.
Don't know where Amanpulo is but certainly that's too expensive when there are others where Filipinos and others may go. Sometimes, beach owners are always thinking of foreigners as guests forgetting their kababayans who also like to experience to have finer things in life in not so expensive ways.

Luzamper, Amanpulo is located at an island near Palawan called Cuyo Island. NW of Palawan. =)

How true is it that there are instances were they offer as low as 700 $ rate during off peak season? I also heard a news that someone who went there asked the butler why Amanpulo is so expensive, the Butler told him that because they will do anything that the guest desire. So the guest put them into test, He told the butler that he left a bag in his home in Manila. He called his house asked his helper to pack a bag, fill it with food, then the next morning the guest was surprised to find his bag in the front step of his cottage.

I was shocked also when I researched about Amanpulo for my travel and leisure blog, I could not believe that a Philippine beach would cost that much!I mean why it is so expensive?only the rich and the famous could afford it. Anyway, I dreamed to visit Amanpulo anyway.hehe

It's a shame I am actually from Palawan but I have never and could never see this paradise. Anyway, the reason why people are too curious to get there is the popularity of the place being one of the most expensive beach resorts in Asia. When it was not yet privatized nobody cared about it. Now with all those adverts everybody became interested. But I tell you what. You can go to any other island beaches in Palawan and get the same haven as in Amanpulo. You don't have to spend your whole life's saving just to say you've been in this famous island. Famous people go there because of the privacy and security reasons. But for me I can be anywhere and nobody would think of kidnapping me LOL!

i would have wanted to go to amanpulo, if it were for free! i heard only of good, nice and luxurious things about it, but i am still not a millionaire to go vacation on the island. i am still thinking of the things that i could buy or do with that amount of money. if the cost were only a spare money for me, i would not think twice in going there. but, on my way to the millions, i would be content to swim along the shores of boracay, camiguin and other nice beaches in the Philippines.

Just like all of you guys, I've been dreading the time when I can actually afford to spend my vacation in Amanpulo. If money's no object, I'll definitely be there every weekend to unwind and get my tan! Hahaha..I just wish this place would be more accessible to Filipinos for the obvious reason that it's located in the Philippines! Grr..alright, I'm being a bit bitter here..*wink*
