I thought Prince was a great choice for the half time show at the Super Bowl. Too bad the sound people didn't do a better job though so his band could have been heard too. Had never seen him on anything live before and I was quite impressed.

I saw it and loved it as always when I see him perform. I'm a musician and have always loved Prince even when he started out with his buttocks showing...not the bum, but his music, that is. The sound people had to be careful with all that rain pouring down. I have seen Prince live seven times. He never disappointed. The man plays seven instruments, writes, composes, and produces his own music and has helped launch many other artists' careers. Ya gotta respect that. Sorry to go off...I'm a huge fan.

I've only had the great joy of seeing Prince live once; that was during the "Purple Rain" Tour. I'd been a fan since his first album, tho'. The man not only is exceptionally skilled as an artist/musician, but absolutely knows how to work the stage and audience as well.
To compare the longevity of his career with many (?most) of his peers, he obviously possesses the intelligence to keep his office running smoothly. Keeping his career on track and launching the careers of others would not be an easy task, I'd think.
I think it's about time the Superbowl people put on a decent Half-Time show. Too bad about the rain.

I did see it. I was quite impressed. I was taken aback when he started singing Best Of You by Foo Fighters. Foo is hard to do but Prince nailed it (maybe even a little better). And to be in heels on a slippery stage. Yeah...major props.

I didn't even think about the slippery stage I was just thinking about the instruments being out there exposed to the elements and the danger factor for the guitar and bass players. Didn't even think to see if they had wireless hookups or not but I'll bet they did. They all deserve a medal and double the pay for their performance.

The show was amazing, I am a real fan and to see him in such fine form with amazing music and 250 piece marching band oh nelly! The prince becomes the king of rock and roll. I don't think that anyone who ever went to a Prince concert fan or not couldn't say they were not truly amazed!

I saw the half time show too. Sometimes his guitar seemed to drown out everything else, so I think you're right...the sound people needed to make some adjustments. But I still thought he was very impressive.

I enjoyed the show. In fact, I only it's the only part of the Super Bowl I've watched. I'm glad that he did all of the popular songs from back in the day. Prince is a great performer. That flowing drape with his shadow was a perfect addition to half time.
