Is it true that women who carry higher while pregnant are going to have a girl?

I have a friend who is 8 months pregnant but doesn't know what she is having but thinks its a girl because she is carrying high. Just wondering if it is true for most women?

Well for me, I was carrying very low most of the time. Even strangers or co-workers guessed that I was having a boy! So I guess it is true about girls... :)
Congrats to your friend. How exciting. Is she keeping it a surprise? Does she have names picked out?

Yeah she wanted to be surprised this time. She definitely has a name for the girl picked out but the boy name she is back and forth between a couple

It's been true 99 percent of the time. Girls round and in the hips, boys way out front. That's how it was for me. Congratulations and good luck to her.
