I was baptised as a Prodestant Christian, my Christening was on TV! But I used to go to church when I was younger but then we stopped. I think Catholisim is a type of Christian(ism?).

It was just one of those churchy programs and they happened to be Christening me that day, Ive got it on video, its funny when the minister goes to sit down and his seat has moved so he dissapears for a while until he gets up. A bit of a shame aswell tho as he hurt his back.

Catholic 2, Apostolic 3, Evangelic, 4 Pentecostal Im not sure . That's how I understand. They are all Christianity, other than them, we call it Protestant. Hey ..... people who knows better please help, a lady here wants more better understanding. Sorry that was a long ago when i enter elementary and one thing I fail the subject. So please, whenever i discussed something anywhere, i dont intend for you to believe it, i just love to debate and my answers are all personal knowledge. Sorry mushroomllitu

Thanks for your reply, So many churches in Europe like the Anglican, Orthodox Christian, Protestant, judaism and so on. But I admire you, a chinese in Europe who can speak good english and learning about religion. You are unique. In my country, I saw many chinese in my church and it really surprises me. because, they seems to be more devout than us who were born to it. Godd luck to you anyway.

Catholicism is the religion followed by the members of the Roman Catholic Church the doctrines or teachings of which are laid down in the Catechism established by the Roman Catholic Church heirarcy. Christianism is the religion followed by Christians the doctrines or teachings of which are laid down by God in the Holy Bible. To become a Christian, a person must be baptized into Christ pursuant to Acts 2:38 after having been taught of the Word of God (basics, not all, for a Christian keeps on learning and studying the Word of God). Anybody who wants to become a Catholic should follow the Catechism; those who want to become Christians must follow the Holy Bible.

I'm neither :) This might seem like an easy answer, but it's actually quite complex. I had an old encyclopedia that had a diagram of all the different christian sects, it filled up an entire page. It's not something that you can explain in a paragraph or two. You can start reading this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_denomination And then maybe search/read some of the articles about this here: http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/

I think being Catholic is being a Christian too right? =) Believing in Jesus Christ makes you a Christian. =) So any religion that follows Christ's teachings are Christians. =) Hope that helps! =)
