Does anyone know a specific style of dance and what kind of dance style is it and how did you learn it?

I learned to meringue, tango, and waltz to impress this extremely gorgeous Lebanese guy. It worked.

I know salsa. I took lessons from a studio here in Singapore and enjoyed the lesson so much, I actually signed up for the rest of the classes offered. Now I can hold my own on the dance floor but my skills still requires plenty of polishing. Dancing is one of the best social activity one can be involved in. It allows you to exercise, mingle with others who are also interested in the same activity and most of all, allow you to advance your skills when you are dancing with various partners on the dance floor. One has to have patience though when one has two left feet like myself. Listen to more salsa music to get yourself started.

Dance is to increase your flow of adrenaline and keep you fit and cheerful. If you are serious of a profession in dancing or want to learn part dance, then there are many forms of dances and dance teachers.Only thing that you would require is dedication and liking and most important of all continiuty. I like the Salsa and Kathakali.

I have done ballet/pointe, jazz, tap, lyrical, and modern. I have also had several mini-lessons in international dance forms but have not studied these very extensively. Basically I learned it through years of formal training at a studio. I pick up motions easily by just watching others but it was really the training that helped me polish my form and technique.... nothing special here, all pretty generic... sorry. =)
