Are the health and safety rules going completely stupid?

YES! Well, for instance, should we now do a risk assessment before we get up in the morning? Let's see, how would that go then? I think it would be like this: Risk Assesment for getting up in the morning...... 1.Is it safe for me to open my eyes? Yes/No 2.Is it safe for me to put my feet onto the floor? Yes/No (think about this, is there a bit of loose carpet that you might trip over? Or something like that) 3.Is it safe to open the bedroom door? Yes/No 4.Is it safe to walk onto the landing? (if you've got one) Yes/No (is there a dog lying at the top of the stairs that you could trip over?) 5.Is it safe to go down stairs? Yes/No 6.Is it safe to sit on the sofa? Yes/No Oh and then, when you've sat down, if you want to get up again, you have to do the whole process again!

What's a 'sessments? :P Well, that's why I can't go out the house much, my risk assessment always says it's better to stay in bed. :)

Yes they are but it is all about lawsuits. People don't pay attention to what they are doing and then turn around and sue someone for what was their own fault. Lawyers are getting rich off of stupid lawsuits!

You've hit the nail on the head there. People don't seem to have enough about them now to be aware of their own safety.
