Which computer is more suitable for student?

computer - computer or notebook computer?

When I first went to University last year,I find computer is necessary for my study,so I want to buy a computer,but my school is far from my home,so I also considered notebook computer,but it's much expensive.......

how can we afford? - The software price is so expendive, how can a student can afford?
notebook is the best choose i think, but it cant afford from many student not the notebook itself but also the licensed software that a student need. i suggest you can try a second hand notebook just for document in home and use removable harddisk to run the programs in the University computer that have all licensed software.
