should pathan bowl the opening spell?

i think he should be given the new ball as he is natural inswinger n outswinger and had a nack of picking up wickets in early stages which will help spiners to do their job.........he is a great bowler n he shud be geven the new ball.

Considering his current form I think Zaheer n Agarkar are doing better..

No i think Zaheer Khan is doing well alongwith ShreeSahnth. Pathan is out of form i don't think he will be useful for India in Worldcup. Greg Chappel has ruined his bowling by sending him on No.3 so that now he is neither a bowler nor a bastman.

pathan...oh dis 1 is tough 1...if der is sum swing in de pitch den he is de best option.....v hav seen him in westindies...der was no help from de wicket..so he did not hav much success over der....de best ball of his is tht he brings de ball back into de right handers....only a few left arm bowlers do it.....depnedz o de track whethere pathan should open de bowling or not

i dont think so, keepin in mind is current form, it will be a free hit of sort if he will operate with the new ball, he is no longer a bowler he used to be. he is not more then a millitary medium pace bowler, who can swing the ball in exremly helpful conditions. in my opinion old trusted pair of zaheer and agarkar is Ok. as india don have much of a choice in this field.
