I guess the only difference from working abroad to working in your own country is the pay and cost of living. Like here in the Philippines, it's usually much better to work abroad because the salary here isn't really that competitive compared to working in the U.S. for example. But, on the other hand, working abroad is also more costly than here in our country where almost everything is already cheap compared to the cost of living in the U.S. for instance. And you also have to get used to other cultures and people if your planning work abroad unlike working in your own country where you're already familiar with everything around you.

Besides the aspect that working abroad generates higher salary than working in my homeland (Phils.), working conditions differ usually with regards to adapting to the work environment. i experienced working with people of diffeent races and that entails getting to know their culture to interact with them smoothly. One should also be disciplined & efficient coz it's a more common experience that some people tend to generalize the impression on your race with the way you perform at work. It's like you represent your whole country. But on a personal view, the most common is homesickness & missing my family...and it's the most difficult thing to cope up with. Somehow, the advancement of communication facilities did a great contribution to help me cope with it.
