Theft is bad because it is illegal and not nice to steal from others.

Because it is morally wrong and makes the world a horrible place for everyone to live in. It's not god that should be stopping you, but your compassion for fellow human beings. If we can't treat each other with respect, what have we got?

You don't need God to stop you from stealing. According to some religions you can be the worst criminal on the planet, and still get into heaven on the basis of your belief alone.
There are plenty of earthly deterents for those who don't believe in God such as:
1) your own sense of shame and guilt
2) your ability to empathize with the victim (you would not want someone to steal from you, so you don't steal from others)
3)the consequences if you get caught (e.g. time in jail, having your reputation ruined, getting fired from your job)
4) the positive emotions you experience when you earn your money honestly.

theft is really very bad because a persons who is stealing from some one but that person has done lots of hard work for that particular thing and just stealing awy from him even may make him to think that why he is not stealing then slowly slowlyevry one will start stealing some things then how will you be able to live without any tension in this world which would be full of theft.

I think it is just basic decency that you don't take something that belongs to somebody else. If you are a thief then people don't want to be friends with you and when you are in trouble and have no friends then you are buggered!
