communication is also important in business and in your social environment. If you want to get and keep good clients and workmates you must be able to talk to them so that they can help you achieve your goals.

In todays corporate world both are mandatory, even i prefer subject first then communication skills. If u hav command on subject u can be a key roller but it is not possible with ur only english

Communication Skills is most important than any other thing these days. Because these days everything is done basically by communicating. If that lacks behind then there is no scope at all of getting exposure to the outside world. Thats what my perception is.

i think both are complementary to each other. Lets think u have very good communication skill, but u don't have hold on this subject. Then whatever it may be u can't express urself very well. same in the case of good idea and bad co munication skill. There whatever depth you have u can't express yourself for lack of communication skill.

Hmmmm. My thought is that one should be having grip in the subject. But again communication skills are also essential without which it doesn't matter how much grip in the subject we have.
So both communication skills and most importantly the grip for that subject should go side by side. Don't know if I am right or not. Good Luck.

No matter how good communication skills you have but you could never be able to express your subject untill you have the knowledge in it, and no matter how good you are at a particular subject, if you don't know how to express your thoughts you are waste of time for anybody.

Subject matters when you are editing i mean composing some articles or mails..good accent becomes important in different job profiles like Radio jockey/BPO kinda stuff..
In meetings and group discussion the subject is given less importance rather than they ought to be..

I think a bit more of the first and a bit less of that of the latter would be what I would like to go with. Knowledge invariably gets first priority, but communication skills are important too. You at least need to have the caliber of expressing your thoughts in English, or any other standard language for that matter.

you need to be able to communicate in the language of your audience and it is imperative to stay up with the technical language and acronyms

The world knows about you and your talents and subject by your soft skills. If some one is dumb he can't market himself no matter however talented he is. hence it is the communication skill that matters. a peson who can communicate well can also mster the subject well. Ihave seen manya good student keping mum in group discussions and interviews because they were not communicative. whrere as I have seen people in administrative service with subjects like arts and things like that. they had very good flair and skill in both the written and verbal language.
we may comclude that the subject is importnat but you need to reach to the people by effective communication.

Both communication skills and subject are needed in today's world. They are interdependent on each other as far as survival is concerned. If you have subject and you can't communicate that subject in a proper way, then having subject knowledge is of no use. When we can analyse our drawbacks in subject or communication skills and work hard to overcome from it,over a period of time we can put our candidature in a perspective way.
