I use Trillian, it can connect you with Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger, ICQ and AIM at the same time. It has email notification feature too.

I tend to go where people are, and moved from ICQ to MSN a few years ago since everyone I know seems to be on it. Very few are on yahoo so I don't really bother. But there are cool programs like trillian that integrate everything together!

I've been using both MSN and yahoo yet i found out that based on flexibility, ease of use, one touch links, i prefer to go with Yahoo.
Aside from the above reasons that yahoo have more number of users around compare to its rival MSN. i find Yahoo to be superior. So flexible that you could go around from most of the leading sites just upon opening your yahoo messenger account. Most leading sites are already link in here that with just one touch, you are then redirected to a new window, so no need for you to scroll over the address bar or got difficulty of finding or typing it out on the bar. Once a main Yahoo messenger is opened, a readily link to Yahoo 360, yahoo mail, ebay, to mention some of this. with this account only, you will know or are notified already if you have anything new emails, updates or something. Another excellent product of yahoo for emailing, is the Yahoo Beta which ease of use is pre-embedded for the effeciency and convenience of the user.

hmm. i gues my choice would be yahoo...both the e-mail and the messenger services beat msn.
firstly the yahoo interface is more funky and easy to use, atleast thats what i think. the messenger also has a huge collection of emoticons and other goodies.
second the inbox capacity of yahoo mail is 1 gb which is 4 times that of msn(250 mb)
now you tell me what would you prefer?

There is no comparision between both of them. The only thing between MSN and YAHOO instant messanger is the liking of yours! Because both are good - I used both of them and I prefer both to use, if you want to use any one use MSN messanger because I use it! Heh! Apart from that The space of mailbox is about equal, all the other features are enable in both, the only diffrence between YAHOO and MSN is YAHOO is faster in signing in as compare to MSN messager. Apart from it there is no diffrence between them

I only have msn on my PC. Every time my wife has installed Yahoo on my PC it slows the whole thing down, and it becomes more unstable. This was true of my previous PC too. She has Yahoo on her laptop, and I am always hearing her shouting "Grrr! It's crashed again!". I tihnk my PC has crashed about twice in the last 6 months, and I do a lot more things, and have a lot more applications running simultaneously.
IMHO Yahoo is buggy as hell, and the only thing I like about it from seeing it running, is their online email service, that operates more like Outlook Express than Hotmail.
