What year did you start using the internet?

I first started using the internet in 1996, it was so new, and was nowhere near the size it is now, It was so new that when i joined ebay 8 and a half years ago, there were less than 500 members, and when you mentioned ebay no one had heard of it.

I started using the internet in 1994, and at that time there were hardly any commercial websites: most sites were either academic or personal. I seem to remember the BBC website starting up around that time and that was quite exciting. I built my own website in 1995, well, my friend gave me some html code and I modified it!
I remember the exciting thing about the internet back then were the hyperlinks - that you could jump from one page to the other. Now, this all seem very ordinary.
