Exercise more effective in the morning?

Many people say that exercising in the morning are more effective when you want to lose weight. When i used to attend aero class years ago, my instructor said that its better to exercise in the morning with empty stomach or if you cant take it..just eat one banana. If you haven't intake anything, your body is using the stored fat as energy.watchathink?
