Why do people vandalise cars?

My daughters car has been vandalised several times in the past few months and we don't know who or why it's happening. Paint was thrown over it, hub caps stolen and even etching fluid thrown across the windscreen. She replaced the windscreen at a cost of £150 only for it to happen again and all across the side windows. I don't understand what people get out of doing this, has this happened to you and did you find out why or who did it?

Well I guess it is one of the sad things about modern society, and I would sum it up in two words - boredom, and jealousy. A lot of kids out there have notihng, and instead of getting off their ***** to work and get their own nice stuff, they tend to be eaten up with jealousy, and want to destroy nice things belonging to other people, - a case of "if I cant have it, you can't have it either". Perhaps their parents didn't discipline them enough when they were younger, or teach them any values about respecting other people, or other peoples' property. And, when they are bored as well (so many kids these days are bored!), they just do it as something to do. It is sad, and I am sorry for your daughter, but afraid I don't have any magic solution.

no happened so far it is ashame that this happens and mostly gang realted.
Have you seen where the kids are running head first into peoples fences and breaking them down? If caught the police get them one man fixed his fence 3 times this can get costly.

I have no clue why people do this except that they are evil and may be jealous. I've had my car ripped apart a few times in the past each time it was because someone was trying to steal it. One morning we woke up and the window was completely broken and the things I had inside were taken. Another day, in the middle of the day, someone tried to steal my car by breaking into it and ripping out the part where the key goes - they got it to roll backwards but the steering wheel was locked so they couldn't turn it - right then someone noticed them and they took off running but left my car just sitting in the middle of the street with the doors open and the car running.
I'm sorry that happened to your daughter - people who have nothing in life to treasure often times can not appreciate that other people do and to respect it.
