well I am not sure what you are looking for but the Search Part works like this. Goggle has between 15 and 20 data centers that house hundreds of computers each of these. These centers send out soft ware agents calleds spyders they jump from 1 web site to another from the looks once they are on a site they either days a short scan which is just a scan of your index.htm looking for changes and following those changes if thye link any where else. Or they can do a Deep scan where the scan your whole site. This information is relayed back to the data center where the information is stored
