This is a terrible feeling. I used be insecure about my husbands exes when got together. I realized that I was not giving him 100% of who I was because I wanted to be better than the exes were. I was hurting myself because I was not completely being myself, I felt insecure. That was an awful feeling because before him I was very confident and was more the type of person that said If you don't like me then don't be with me. It only took a short time before I realized that I wasn't happy with this feeling and went back to being proud of who I am and that made our relationship better. I even entertained his ex from time to time. And when she was around I just laughed inside that I get this sweet life while se gets to watch she could have had. We have been together for 8 years and I definitely feel that if I had kept those insecurities it would have failed.
