No but wild cats can get rabbies. They get it from another wild animal. It comes from the salvia. so always be careful when approaching a wild cat they could have rabbies.

Any mammal can get rabies. It may not be common in said animal but it does happen. That is why rabies shots are a requirement for the health of your pet cat as well as your family.

Hi there again...cats are not born with the rabies virus. Unvaccinated cats, other pets, livestock animals and humans can get infected the rabies virus if they are bitten or scratched by an infected wild animal who carries the rabies virus. Rabies is commonly found in bats and raccoons.
