What is your worst ever move story?

It was 2 years ago, when we moved from our little 3 1/2 appartement, to where we are living now. First of all, our lease for the 3 1/2 ended march 1st, so we had to be out of there. Where we live now, is upstairs my inlaws, and when our lease finished, the old tenants were still here, and that, until their lease finished, june 30th. So for 3 months, with all our stuff in boxes, we lived in my hubby's old bedroom. Of course, we had access to the whole house, but having lived a year by ourselves, it wasn't easy to move in with his whole family. Here, in Quebec, the law is that you have to hand over the keys of the appartement you're leaving, latest midnight, the last day of your lease, which was june 30th for them. We ended up having the keys on july 1st, at a quarter to midnight. We were so pissed! Then, all of us went upstairs, to find a complete and utter mess! They'd left half full garbage bags in every room, the glass cupboard doors in the dinning room were broken, i found old boxers and shorts they'd left behind, they even left us their cat's, full of poo, litter!!! The apartement stank, and we just wanted to cry!! It took a whole month to get this place together, and fixed up as we wanted, but it was so worth it!
