i would like to donate my organs but my family does not agree

I think it is very generous of you to want to do this. It's a great way for us to live on after we're gone and if we can make someone else's life better, then why not. I think you should do it anyway, and if you are trying to make them understand your choice, ask them how they would feel if you needed an organ transplant in order to live and none were available. Maybe if they try to put themselves in that position, they will realize how important it can be for people to become organ donors.

Did they say why they are against it? If you were sick and dying and needed an organ and one was available from a donor, would they refuse for you to accept it? Of course not. So they are not being fair. Anyway, they are your organs, do what you believe in your heart you should do. I am one and I hope I can give the gift of life one day.

It is your body, you should do as you wish. Fill out the doner card when you renew you driver's license. WHile your family does not agree to it, I still suggest letting them know again, and your reasons why. However, as long as it is on a doner card,the doctors legally have a right to take your organs.
