Weather – What’s the Weather like where you live? How does it affect you?

Here in Las Vegas, Nevada the mornings are cold (40Fs), the days are warm (70Fs), and the evenings are cold (40Fs) again. Spring is just around the bend so I feel good. I do not like extreme weather. Not too hot and not too cold. When it is too cold I want to hibernate like a bear. When it is too hot, I feel like a beached whale gasping for water, I am always thirsty. Some people say they can predict rain by how their arthritis acts up. Some people feel sad when the sun doesn’t shine. Some people hate the sun. What kind of weather do you like? What do you do in the different types of weather?

I'm in Northern Ontario Canada and is is freezing here! It is -22F but when you factor in the wind chill it is about -40F. There is too much snow, and not enough sun which makes me stay indoors and hibernate like you said. Northern Ontario winters are too long, and make me feel a little down. I miss the sun and the warm weather, I can't wait until summer!

Well I hope it will start warming up by March, maybe as high as 14F. The summers aren't bad, average temp is about 77F.
The cold weather affects everything, sometimes school is cancelled because it is too cold for the kids, peoples water pipes in their house freeze, and this morning I had a hard time starting my car! My car hates the cold as much as I do!

14F??? Warm up to???? You are a real trouper. Come the first day above 60F I would have a knapsack on my back hightailing it out of there back to someplace warmer like sunny Southern California (my favorite of all the places I've lived).

I love the heat and I love the sun. Unfortunatly I get neither in the winter months here. Right now it is -2 with the wind chill during the day and is suppose to get worse today. I can't wait till the kids are grown and I can go somewhere warm that is my goal.

-2? No sun? Brrrrrrrr. I know what -5F is like so my heart goes out to you. Where is this -2 so I make sure I stay away until summer? LOL.

It's pretty darn cold here in Michigan right now. Schools have been closed for 2 days due to the freezing temps. There's not much snow on the ground, but with the wind chill, it is -20. I prefer warmer temps myself. I had back surgery 3 years ago, and my back just freezes up in these temps (I think it's the titanium implants freezing!!) I would like to move to a warmer climate when my kids are older and settled. I can easily predict rain with my spinal arthritis. Stay warm!! :-)

Oh Classyphotobuggy! Whatever you do. Please stay wrapped up. Don't let the cold get to your body. I hope you have nice thermal underwear. I cannot begin to imagine a piece of metal inside my body in sub-zero temperaturess. I would just curl up and die. Of course knowing that you have back problems, this opens up a whole "nother" discussion LOL.
