I've just thought a while ago while washing the dishes if having a fork in your hand is really important. I've gron up in a province way back and the we can really eat without the use of fork, we can even eat with just our bare hands. But when I got into the city, things really changed. I can't eat without the use of fork now, it seems that eating for me is really hard without a fork on my other hand. How about you?

we do this also here in the philippines. in fact, i love this barbecue house in the downtown area where most people who dine there do not use utensils to eat. even those who are dating, they still use their barehands. and that's one of the best restaurants i love going to from time to time.

when just eating at home and even when my boyfriend's around, i eat with my barehands. i love it more than using utensils. but when eating outside like in restaurants, fastfood chains and in friends' houses, i do use utensils.

it's really hard to eat finger foods such as seafoods using utensils. we really can enjoy much eating if we use barehands on those foods. thanks marcia:)

When I was in the Philippines, I eat with my hands, but being here not anymore. People don't like it and they think you are weird so I am trained now to use fork and knife. Yes, that is, spoon and knife that's how they eat here. I know a person when he is a filipino if he eats with spoon and fork, fork being used as a knife. lol! that's how we do it there.

Well.. I still can eat without a fork. But I prefer to eat my food with it. When I was still in grade school, I usually eat using only a spoon... But my mother often scolded me and forced me to use the fork. That's why I learned using it during my high school. Heheheh... funny isn't it? I still can manage without a fork nowadays.

i could eat certain food without any forks but im used to with eating with a fork. thats because when we were younger, but old enough to know better, my dad used to yell at us when we ate with our hands cause it looked very rude and sometimes disrespectful when it can to having guests for dinner. but sometimes at a old age, we do eat (i mean my brothers and i) with just our hands when no ones around.

I used to eating with fork and whenever i forgot to get one (since i have a tendency to forget things)it gives me a strange feeling that something is missing... something is not right... then it hit me, i am eating with out using a fork. I dont like eating without one.

When it comes down to seafood I don't like to use fork or such utensils to eat it, because it just botters me and makes me take about half an hour more than I would just using my bare hands.

you can't really enjoy eating seafoods if you choose to use spoon and fork.

The only foods I do not use a fork with are finger foods-pizza, french fries, chicken. I do not actually know if I would be grossed out using just my hands. It would be interesting to try, though. It would make for a fun family dinner, they would all think I am crazy.

I've gotten used to eating with a fork on the other hand now that I lived in the city. I can eat with only a spoon but I already find it awkward. In that case, I'd rather eat with my bare hands.

I cannot eat without a fork but I can eat without a spoon. I like using fork more than the spoon specially when eating pasta, cakes, fruits, steaks. I only use spoon on soups.
