Ever have one of those people who were just so abnoxious, you wanted to be like 1000 miles away from them? they made you cringe?
Well, why is it, that there is always at least one, at every jobsite?
Do they know my personality so well, that they deliberately put the most revolting person to you on your team just so that you quit your job?
Ok, generally, I am a great lady, get along with quite a few of my co-workers, and there is always that person though
willing to get you in trouble with the boss, and if she can't find anything, will start making stuff up.
Why?
The last scenario, I was paired with a completely lazy person who didn't want to do her job. It was in construction. She was mad at me, because I would not drive her to the next town on a regular basis, which was 20 miles away. At first, I felt bad for her, and gave her a few rides, butI told her the price of gas was just outta my budget to be her transportation, and she took this offensively, Even to go as far as to tell the boss I was harrassing her, which didn't make sense. Her husband had left her, so I know this was a difficult situation, but sense I was sharing the transportation with my husband, he was havingto take the bus, just so I could drop her off, which wasn't fair to him, because he pays a good portion of the bills. This furthermore went to show just how peole can manipulate, or try to manipulate you into doing their biddings. So, has anyone else have something similar out there, where people have manipulated you, and compromised your job, and ho did you deal with it?

It is better late than never to learn a lesson or two from this whole thing: just mind your own business, literally! Work for yourself and let the devil care for the rest...

Yeah, well, it is kind of hard when you are paired up with someone, to mind your own business. I wish jobs were that easy, unfortunately they are not. there are quite a few jobs that require you to get along well with your co-workers, if you are going to last there for any length of time.
but, alot of wisdom in those few words, for sure!

We come across such people many a times in life.It is a wise action if you can decide about them at an ealy stage and keep them away or else sometimes they may be a hurdle in the advancement of your career.

I just was forced to leave a job where that was happening- I was the office manager and this girl- who I hired to do A/P about 6 years ago, had similar issues to the woman you work with- her husband left her and whatever, well she obviously felt she had no control over her own life so decided she wanted to take over mine..... everytime I was out (vacation or sick- I had 4 weeks vacation) she would take that opportunity to tell my boss she could do my job (and of course my cheapskate boss would look for or any way to save money- including get rid of me- I had been ther too long), well -after coming back from vacation in September my boss informed me they were going to move the office from NJ to NY and they would be cutting my hours down to three days a week IF I chose to go. Now they already knew I couldn't afford to have my hours cut so of course I had to leave. Now this woman- who only worked two days a week is now working 5 and doing my job, I am releaved somewhat to be away from such a hostile situation but I actually enjoyed my job, I loved what I did- now I have a job that pays more - but I hate it....go figure!

Oh that was definately sneaky! and yes, the employer is always looking for the overproductive superman/woman in the field! but when they do a stealth bomber on your job, it can be frustrating, for sure! But, don't worry. there are plenty of backstabbers, unfortunately, that this woman will have to look out for as well. What kind of work do you do, anyways?
