How do you say "Hello"? / myLot

Around friends I just say Hey in the school hallways or not even say hello at all and just jump into a conversation. Around family though which is a bit more formal, I'll say Hi or Hello.

i m an indian but i m recently in china .... so in india we greet ppl by saying namaste... but here in china they use the word ni hao for hello....

I usually just say "whats up" and see how it is going for that person. Nothing really out of the ordinary. THANKS!

I usually say hello, it doesn't matter if it is a formal or informal meeting. If I really want to make and impression though i will say something like nice to meet you, or pleasure is all mine.
