Do you have nicknames? What are they? And how did you get those names? I am most called JessieMae because my first name is Jessica and my middle name is Mae. Shorten Jessica to Jessie and put Mae right on the end and you get JessieMae. I've also got a couple of others, Bess is one that my cousins called me when I was younger to get me really mad but it don't really make me mad anymore. Bessie was my great great grandma's name. I am also called woman quite a bit. That's what my boyfriend calls me.

My nicknames are Mouse and Sweetpea. I have had both since I was young but, now that I am older, Mouse has become predominant. I think Sweetpea probably is too young-sounding for an older lady. :) I was called Mouse because I am shy and reserved (at least until I know and feel comfortable with someone). Sweetpea was because I am always kind. I try to treat others like I would want to be treated. I honestly think that my nicknames made it easier on everyone. My name is unusual in the U.S. and people reverse the letters all the time and also pronounce it incorrectly. It was ok though as the nicknames never bothered me. In fact, in addition to being my nickname, mouse has become my signature. For example, all cards I send have a mouse on them.

Sure, my first name is also my id: ilse. It is actually German (I was born in Germany) and would be equivalent to Elizabeth here in the U.S.

Thank you for your response. I also have the nickname of Sissy because when my younger brothers were just learning to talk, they couldn't pronounce Jessica or Jessie.

i was called names and I hate them apples. When my family call me by various nicknames they're the sweetest music to my ears. However almost everyone who call my name just rubs me the wrong way. I'm tired of them ranting and raving and biting my head off. I just want to be alone.

When I was younger I used to call myself Cocoa because I thought it was a cool name. Now I don't really have much of nickname at all, I kind of miss having one actually. One of my friends calls me panda (like sad pandas) and my step mother used to call me Grumpy Smurf.

My name is Maria Antonette, so people call me Marie, Antonette, Tonette, Net for short. I don't like any of them even my name. But what can I do? I wouldn't change it either.
