I began to hate MS Vista...all talking about it...but I don't think it's an innovative system. It is only full of protections...it's heavy like a brick, it requires powerful hardware. And for what? Only to have colorful windows...3d windows that will make our 3D videocard always running (and consuming power and running hot). Many benchmarks on the net are showing that Vista slow down machines...games run slower on Vista than on XP. Vista compatibility tool showed me that I must buy a new ADSL modem and a new scanner to use it. But I don't want to buy new hardware only to get that OS! I love my Ericcson modem and my Epson Scanner! I think I will install it, maybe, in one year or more. When will I need to play a DX10 game I will try it...as secondary OS...because XP will stay on its place for a long time!

minimum config goes like this 512 mb ram...p4 atleast 2 ghz more.. but for optimal performance go for dual core processor..1 gb ddr 2 ram.. and also a 256 mb graphics card...which will give u full features for windows vista
