Hi, I could not believe this but a little boy came in my scout group with his eyebrows shaved off the other day . completly!! i could believe it and then worse i heard that his mom did it as punishment for him drawing a mustache on his sister while she was asleep, he did it with a permanent marker and it took a day to get it off and she had to saty home from school for a day. now i know what he did was awful but it did come off eventually and im sure their are things that could have removed it ever mmore quickly. i know acetone nail polish remover works wonders on things like that. anyway i could never shave my kids eyebrows off as punishment for it. she also sent him to school to be laughed at to make it worse. this just seems wrong to me on many levels!!!! what is your opinion?

wow that is probably one of the most rediculous punishments ive ever heard of! im sure in some states she would have her kids taken away for that because its shows horrible parenting skills! i agree the boy should have been punished but to shave his eye brows off???? thats just wrong! what were those parents thinking!!!

Sounds like she is locked into the 60's when parents did things to humiliate children for discipline. This is now considered child abuse and the child will suffer from this years from now. All the school has to do or even you is turn her in to the proper authorities and they will remove the child from care. She sounds like Whack job who does not need kids.

That is just so sad, how old is this little boy? I know a little boy who wanted to cut his hair.. and was using his dads electric razer (because he thought it was just like the ones that barber used on his dads hair!).. and he cut off part of his eyebrows.. then decided to shave the rest of them off to make them look even.
anyway, I think the mother was totally off here. Grounding would have worked, but shaving off his eyebrows?! for a marker mustache?!.. That's pretty hardassed if you ask me..

how horrible, such people do not desrve to be parents. She was bent on destroying kid's self esteem. I would have slaped her if I could meet her and that also in public. this is cruelity not punishment. Now someone should go after her and punish her. Poor boy, I just can not imagine the horror he must have felt. My cosinnes shaved their youngest sister's one eyebrow while trying to immitate my aunt who ran a beauty parlour but my aunt jsut scolded them really well and they did feel sorry for their sister. most of the times kids do indulge in pranks but they also realise what they have done soon after. Maybe the boy didn't understood that it would be really hard to get it off. Next time if anyone puts chewing gum on her kids hair and she had to cut them to get rid of the mess what is she going to do-cut the tongue of the othe kid or paste duct tape over his mouth. That woman was plain stupid.

Oh my God, that is so sad! Poor kid, I'm sure he will never think of playing such a prank ever again in his life. I think the mother was too harsh and impulsive to have punished him like that. Actually in a few countries it is illegal to shave off the eyebrows because it changes the appearance of a person, so to prevent multiple identities (ex:in passports) it is a law to keep those eyebrows.

that's a little extreme for a punishment. but then again i'm sure he learned his lesson.

whats the old saying? two wrongs dont make a right. thats just wrong.. thats worse then her son doing that to her daughter! it takes weeks for hair to grow back.. it would take a day to get the marker off her. this womans weird. why would you try to himulate(sp?) your own child.. punish them. dont embarss them
