Do you check the weather everyday before going out?

Where I live, you can almost always predict what the day's going to be like just by looking at the sky. The weather here is pretty predictable. When I was in Melbourne, we had to check the weather everyday on the internet as the weather there is pretty messed up. It can for from 79 and sunny to 31 and icing all in ONE day!

When I was staying in Shanghai for 3 1/2 years , I had the habit of listening to the weather forecast everyday so that I'll know how to dress my kid and myself before we go out. It was the first time that we were staying in a place with four different seasons so I was totally new to the climate change.

The only time we check to see what the weather is going to be like is if we have to go someplace the following day and there is a chance I won't be able to drive . My husband can drive in anything but I won't drive if there is a lot of snow or ice on the roads as I am nervous .

We have a saying here. If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes, it is bound to change. We watch the news at night and check out what "may" happen and plan accordingly. But, before you leave, always peek your head out the door to see for yourself what is going on.

We check the weather everyday too. We have kind of weird weather here too. I didn't realize the weather in Melbourne was that unstable. I had always thought of it as a warm place year around.

Luckily I live in a climate that does not have that kind of change and it is not necessary to check the weather everyday. If it gets cold enough that I actually have to wear a sweater it will be all over the news and I will get weather alerts via the internet. When I lived in the mountains, I learned the hard way that you need to check the weather everyday. There were days when it was below freezing and I walked out the door with no coat and short sleeves!!! After a few times of doing that I remembered to check the weather first.

I swear Melbourne is the only place in the world where you can expect to see 4 seasons in one day ... nearly 99% of the time!!! You have to be prepared for everything!

I do not check the weather everyday. But, I do have Weatherbug bookmarked on my computer. I'm usually just prepared to deal with whatever. Most the time the predictions made by the weather people aren't even close to what actually happens in a day. LOL
