Since the age of 6 years I can always remember having a camera. Infact my first camera was an old Kodak 126 instamatic... Dont know if any of you remember those lol.. I know I am showing my age now! That old camera is something my mother originally was going to throw out! But instead she gave it to me to play with. After I had been given that old camera! My curious nature had me not wanting to play with it as mum had intended, but to learn how to use it! So anything that moved if I had a film in there was an instant target! From next door neighbours cats and dogs to the animals down on the farm at the end of the road! Nothing that was animal was safe from me at that time lol Since then I have worked my way through numerous of cameras upgrading all the time til now I am working on SLRs, now saving towards my first SLR Nikon Digital As I have gone on with the cameras my love for photographing wildlife has increased quite a lot, now I am also a member of the Northwest Photo group, a photography group dedicated to working with wildlife, helping to preserve and bring to justice those that miss-treat. Every year if I get the chance I try go out to Tenerife with a friend to photograph the whales and dolphins and other wildlife out there. OK Tenrife is only a small Island! But with it being so warm most of the year round! Wildlife is in abundance over there. Thankfully the wildlife out there is protected. Any of you that loves wildlife photography I would reccomend this Island to you Lynn-Marie

I've heard that Tenerife is beautiful especially for photographers, but I also hear that Tenerife is very touristy and Lanzarote is the quietest of the islands. Sorry I digress, the first camera I had was a box brownie, it was actually very good at taking photos and for my first real camera it was ideal, I then moved on to a polaroid before discovering the digital camera which you can obviously manipulate the pictures on the PC. I love photographing animals as well as nature's finest sun sets, when the skys are red this is truly remarkable and it makes you glad you are alive. I did go up to Scotland last year and was very diappointed that I didn't get to see any dolphins especially on the East Coast.

Tenerife coast is a hot spot for whales and dolphins! Just love those creatures! Due to the fact I have epypepsy I am not allowed to drive! I make use of the tourist spots for a base, but make use of the trips out to the more remote parts where it is a photographers paradise So get the best of both worlds lol
