Has anyone kept old clothes from 70's and 80's?

The 80's clothes especially are making a comeback. I wish I wasn't such a neat freak throwing out my clothes every year or so. I could get some wear out of them again now. The 70's hipsters are also back in. I just hope caftans don't make a comeback. I don't think I could relive that again.

I was born in 1988, so the only clothes from the 80s that I could have kept would have been baby rompers. XD Still, my mom kept a lot of her clothes from the 1970s, and it's always fun to wear them, especially since a lot of "retro" clothing is really timeless.

I don't save anything. If I had,I would not fit into it anyway. Hehheehe. I designed clothes in fashion school in the late 60's, and they are being shown now. Blessings, M&M

No, I didn't keep clothes from the 70's or 80's but I so wish that I had kept them! Seriously, everything that I see in the stores (and that my daughter wants!) is something that I once wore. She didn't belive me until I got out my yearbooks and proved my point. I had a closet full of the little ballet flat shoes too. Oh well, as they say, 'history repeats itself.'

I was born in the 80's so obviously I cannot keep my clothes from that time. Howeverm, my aunt did. Since we have the same body frame I get to borrow stuff from her. It's cool to have a trendy aunt. That's why even the accessories I can borrow from her whenever I go out. Hehehe... Vintage!

I kept quite a few (not all) of the clothes I had from the 70's and 80's if they were in good enough shape to keep. Some of them are classics and definitely retro. My biggest criteria for keeping them is that they still fit well. They even get borrowed here and there. The last time I wore any of them was to a Halloween party where I went as a hippy, little did they know it was clothes from I used to wear in that era. I have to laugh when somebody young goes 'Wow! Where did you get that? Can I borrow it?' It's kind of neat how everything old becomes new again.

Keep them anyway. I know that I wish I had kept my clothes for my daughter who is starting to fit into my clothes now (she's 12. Fashion seems to have a way of revisiting doesn't it?

My hubby has a leather vest made in Korea by Koreans while he was there in the army in 1970. It's rust colored and has fringe on the chest all the way around and fringe at the bottom all the way around, very nice yet. We even have the receipt with all the info on it in Korean.

That's true. I wish I had kept so many of my clothes only to give my daughter if they did't fit me.

No, and even if I did they would no longer fit me so it would just be a waste of space to keep them lying around.
