It's ok to love someone but leave a little for yourself.

that's right, it's better to ask rather than tell.

oppps.. forgive me, wrong word. What I meant is that it's much nicer if a person were just to ask for a little more respect than DEMAND for it, right?! Cheers! :)

Love has taught me to look out for others first...that's what love is - right? Thinking of others before you think of yourself...an important emotion to become human...

Love has taught me to love myself before I love anyone else.

That's so true. When I was young, I courted a lot of girls and found out a lot about their personality but when they asked me what I was about I couldn't answer coz I barely knew myself. I just didn't give myself the opportunity and for that I hated myself back then.

Love has taught me a big lesson, which says that too much of expectations from your love gives you pain and nothing else, so just be contended and you will enjoy the small joys of love.

love has taught me that some person can turn to be sooooo much important to us that we even forget ourselves as that person means a world to us.this feeling is either found in mother-child relation or among lovers

A whole lot, you are right you need to leave some for yourself. Love is not enough. Love is not selfish even if it means being selfish to yourself.

it has taught me to be more mature, understanding and responsible enough to face problems in a relationship.. it has also taught me to be selfless and consider your partner's feelings whenever you make decisions..
