Suicide: Does anyone understand it?

I know that this is a depressing subject, but I just need other opinions. My sister committed suicide a little over 6 months ago. She was 14 years old. She was the popular girl in school, and always looked so happy. We were best friends, and told eachother everything. Except, of course, her depression. It caught the whole community off guard. No matter how much I've read on teen suicide, I still can't seem to understand. Will I ever know what was going through her mind?

Phyically she is not here but spiritually she will always be with you, in your heart. Sorry for your loss. Stay strong.

I am very sorry to hear about your loss . You will never be able to fully understand what your sister didn't tell you . She was depressed and the depression would have kept her from telling you what was wrong . She may have tried to keep it from you because she might have feared you would have looked at her differently or any number of reasons . Just always remember that your sister loved you and it was the illness that did this to her .
