How to cure a bad mood

I am in a really horrible mood at the moment (just a general combination of stress, amongst other things), and Iw as wondering what other people do to snap themselves out of feeling crappy? Do you treat yourself to something nice (for me, it was some glossy fashion magazines that I love, though in a way, the stress to get into town & back in my lunchbreak probably has contributed to my bad mood!), listen to some good music, talk to a friend... tell me your bad-mood cures :)

I have different bad moods. Sometimes I'll be alone and just listen to music and get over it myself. Other times I like to talk to friends, and they always help to.

I agree with some of the others. Walking, listening to music and singing along, watching funny movies and writing in my journal. Though I don't think writing in my journal actually lifts my mood but it helps me analyze what might be bringing me down. Chocolate and ice cream are good temporary picker-uppers, but then guilt sets in. LOL!

I go find something to do, like cleaning or other chores. I've found doing something to keep myself busy working takes my mind off of it and I feel better. Plus I accomplish something constructive in the meantime. When I'm in a bad mood, I need to DO something....listening to music or trying to relax just doesn't work for me.

i take a drive or a walk, have the music cranked way up and sing to the music as loud as i can. Write in my journal. Play a game like go fish or memory with my daughter. take a nap. draw/sketch.there are many different ways that i use to calm myself. Just depends on the current situation and what is avaible to me at that time

Horrible moods are inner and very personal things, and everybody tries to manage them the best possible in a personal way. I sometimes am in terrible moods. I usually listen to the music by Mozart, "The adagio - the second movement - of the Concert for piano KV488" is a good way to feel rejoice a little. I sometimes talk to a friend, but not about my troubles, I speak about other subjects, so, after talking with him/her, I feel really better even if I didn't yet solved my problems.

I generally put my music on and take a long walk. i keep walking until i feel like i have calmed down and then i go back home. somehow walking always helps me sort out my problems, not to mention its good for me :) if i cant do that i take some alone time, i just stay at home away from everyone else and watch some nice movies, play some games or read a book and dont answer my phone until im feeling better

I eat chocolate!! and vent out my frustrations in an email or a journal post. I also try to keep away from other people who are in a bad mood as I swear moodswings jump from person to person so quickly. Or if i'm at home I have "mummy time out" and have a rest or a bath and read a book!
