Why do some countries have left side driving and some have right side driving. Which is better according to you.

I don't know WHY we have 2 different systems in the world. It really doesnt matter. These things shouldn't be STANDARDIZED and let it be OPTIONAL.
1- to avoid these kinda arguments, lol
2- Lefties should use Right sided cars.
3- Righties should use Left sided cars.
simple...
I can drive both cuz I like driving automatic!! But I perfer the american style, cuz these are made in America baby!! I love this monster!

The argument for which is better could go on for ever and never come to agreement.
In Australia we follow the British system of driving on the left, and of course, I think it is better, but my American friends think driving on the right is better, and we are going to have to agree to disagree.
I have found that Americans find it comparatively easy to make the change to drive on the left, but English people have difficulty in driving on the right. Now, all things being equal, as I believe they are, that could infer that driving on the left is more natural - and therefore better.

it don't matter which side you are driving... it only matters who is driving !! it's always safer to drive with a fully concious driver than the other way round !!

It is all decided by the government of the country when it first made a decision about which side to drive on, I guess.
In China, we drive on the right and walk and ride on the right according to the traffic regulations. So what about your country, please?

In India it is same as China, right side driving, but now I am in Israel and here they follow left side driving. I wonder if people who know driving they can drive both the ways.....is it a problem for them to drive from left if they learnt driving from right side and vice versa...
