I think the problem is in the judges themselves. Did anyone see Paula during that one broadcast where it was obvious she was drunk? And then Fox says hat its because a sound problem. And Simon making fun of people because of the way they look...last time I checked, this was American Idol, not a beauty pagent.

I believe they still do. In the first place, these people know what they are up to. Some of them really just go there to have fun and try their luck and have their 15 seconds of fame.

What amazes me is that they actually think they have talent and can sing well enough to get on the show and even win. And please don't lump all Americans with the few they showed you begging. Yes, Americans still have self respect. Remember the other city where they all said thank you, even if they got laughed out of the room?
I try not to laugh but sometimes I can't help myself. Some of those people are really awful. It's sad, but funny. And the show would be totally boring if they only showed the good singers.
Simin is cruel, but honest.

I don't understand how American's can get up there and humiliate themselves like that also. Begging in front of millions of people, and then having to face the people you know. It is sad because they are so desperate to make it, they will just beg. It also amazes me the people who get on, and really think the can sing.
