I think too many people are in love with the idea of "giving themselves" to the ones they love, however I do not think this is something that can make or break a relationship. I know in some cultures its a HUGE thing but honestly...it meant nothing to my ex husband. My fiance was a virgin when we got together but I wasnt. The fact that we loved each other & wanted to be together didnt change. Our feelings have done nothing but grow over time. we are going on 7 years in just a few weeks...virginity wouldnt have changed a thing.

welcome to my lot. Well I think it depends on several factors such as age, religona, culture, etc
A lot of teens/younger people are having premarial relations, and I am not saying its right or wrong, but a lot of time they think they are in love, or are in love, and are to make an adult decision that sometimes they regret.
I know some religons insist you must be a virgin until marriage.
SO there isnt a real answer to the question. Its also your preference too. If you would rather your potential bride be a virgin, then thats your personal choice. Are you also waiting for marriage before intimacy?
Good topic and again welcome to mylot!
