Many people attribute their weird experiences in Life, in love and in luck to karma( sowing the seeds that were sown in the past life for better or worse ) and science have been trying to prove such a claim to be true. Theosophists and Buddhists, along with other spiritual groups believe that we have a past life and we take whatever we have developed or unresolved into our present lifetime. IF that is true, do we then have any control over the destiny we are given or are we to just go with the flow? Different schools of thought will relate their teachings and views differently. How many times have you heard the word" Bad Karma" or " Good Karma". Is past life relationship the reason behind us loving another so deeply, that we cannot explain why, that even when he/ she hurts and cheats on us, we simply cannot bear to stop loving the other. When we seemed to know a new friend like we have met centuries or decades ago even when we just said"hi" to each other seconds ago as total strangers. Have you had that feeling before? Deja Vu.. Being at one place, saying something, doing something which seemed so familiar as if you remembered doing it before although it is your very first time. Are these the signs of us having a past life? I can hardly comprehend. What say you? Any comments, experiences or knowledge to share?

I do not believe in reincarnation. Reincarnation is just a poetic expression of our collective memory. Think about this, if so reincanation is true, how will you explain that our population today had doubled or tripled from the population of thousands of years ago? What are the chances of a "unique soul" if we are the reincarnation of einstein or cleopatra? Believing in reincarnation is like believing that our souls belong to the first round humans. I just cannot make myself believe the ego thing of one eternal soul, where only first round humans rule this world. Besides, it defies all logic and science. The theory (of a certain bio-chemist) i believe is that when a member of our species is born, he has billions of memory accounts to draw on where he will inherit his instinct. These memories are experiences of other people which they share unconsciously or not and which we get unconciously or not. "It's like once the answers are out there, people can pick up on them, like we are all sharing our experiences telepathically." This theory is better than the theory of reincarnation although it still has some loopholes that need to be philosophized. Regarding karma, if karma is the innate desire to be good and to do good for other people, then yes, i believe karma does exist.

Thank you for your comments and views. I certainly agree that karma plays a big part and events throughout history have demonstrated the elusive power of cause and effect. However, how does one understand an incident in a distant land with all the known names and events which he never knew. Scientists have done studies to prove that one may have a past lifetime in a totally dofferent setting and the memories are but one of the ways to proving it. Telepathy in accessing knowledge does give food for thought. Perhaps you would like to share with us more on how we are in the situation and birth conditions that we cannot control. Why do people, in your view have such drastically different lives. Is there then an equanimity or Grace of the creator which many believes in if such gross differences in castes and status surround us daily? What is your take on this?

Thank you for your comments and information. First and foremost I would like to reiterate the point that I am not here to propagate any form of religion or faith as it is the free will of others. I am just intrigued by the various philosophies and passed down knowledge of the crux of life and possibly the mysterious nature of our existence. Perhaps in buddhism much about reincarnation is being taught, that is not my perogative in any way. You do have a very pragmatic approach to existence which we currently fall back on. Its good information. Really hope to hear from more people about their perspective and what they know. It would be a beneficial discussion. No qualms about Karma. we are merely exploring deeper into the subject. Cheers

Well i have read the question and responce posted. -giggels- Its a very much debated topic just like any other topics about the creator, the universe, where man come from etc. And i know, people will just continue to debate this until the end of time. What can i say, no man could ever understand the way the big man up there works.Theres a saying which goes " God works in a mysteriouse way" And of course he wont share his magick...lol. Thomas Aquinas, Aristotle, Plato, Schopenhaur,Hagel, etc they are all simply man and they all are simply philosophers. Its always a choice weather people want to considered their works as acceptable or not, but to me personaly its simply theories. Theories of knowledge and understand, from someone points of view from a period of time. That is why phiosophies theories changes with each period...they are only considered to be "enlighten man of their time".It basically dosent spelts out everything, just like in every knowledge. Then that would simply be absurb. I do believed in reincarnation and karma. One do not need to explained about hows the population of man existed to be the way they are now. The best i can explained from my point of view is that, " Man has given by God/ the creator to procreat so that, he would have a line" That preety much explained why The population grows. But it does not speaks about the soul. The soul itself is a different matter totaly. And Karma existed only because to helps to keep the balance. And i am not saying that karma itself is balance.
