Setting up a Charity Stamp Appeal

Hi friends, this is my first time on mylot so please be gentle with me! I was diagnosed with Cancer 2 years ago (I was 34 years old) and as you can imagine it had a devastating effect on my life. However, following surgery and Radiotherapy treatment, 2 years on I now have been given the all clear and have made a full recovery! Feeling that I really should be giving something back to all the doctor's & nurse's etc... that were involved with my diagnosis & treatment / recovery, I would very much like to set up a Stamp Appeal to help raise money for one or more cancer organisation. The reason I have chosen to do a Stamp Appeal is because I am actually a Post Lady for Royal Mail so a Stamp Appeal would be quite thematic. Unfortunately I have not done this sort of thing before and haven't a clue as to where to start! My attempts so far to get information about this type of appeal have come up with nothing. If there is anyone listening that can offer any advice on this subject then please contact me......I am all ears (although not literally) Ha! Hi there. Just looking around some internet sites to see if there is anything out there for you. Have you tried going to the marie curie website? Think it's www.mariecurie.org.uk. They did have a coin and stamp appeal in place. i'm not suggesting you give up on your brilliant idea, just maybe ask them for some help/guidlines?..........just a thought. Glad to hear that you've been given the all clear and good luck with the stamp appeal.

Hello i just went through your post. Your idea of raising money for cancer organisation. I am not sure about stamp appeal but any way wish you a good success in your good idea. It is good to hear that you have completely recovered from Cancer and that will give hope to millions of people through out the world who is suffering from Cancer. Wish you a good future in your attempt. I will search and come back to you if i find something that may help you.
