Prisons full to the brim!

In the UK there is a problem at the moment with prisons being too full.
This means they are letting out prisoners to make way for worse criminals. This leaves more criminals on our streets.
What do you think should be done about it?

Prisons being full is a sign of where the gov't. is going as one Russian polititian had put it. It is also a sighn of where the gov't is leading it's people, because many are there for trying to put food on the table. In most cases, the violent ones are not released like that unless it is already close to their release date.
