Need help with referrals

hi guys,i need some help here.i have been promote my referrals link into some website.but for 4 month neither any one join with my referrals.i think is it wrong with mine?or i put wrong words in there?or something mistake and i have forgotten something?or just this is maybe not my time to have referrals?i really confuse with this referrals and i really need some advice here so i can get referrals.i mean advice how to make magic word so that people want to join by my referral.with your attention and your help,i really apriciate and thank you before.
